Why I'm doing this alone

The Patagonian steppe is windy. Relentlessly windy. Some days I can't lay a single brick. I mix mortar at dawn and wait. When the wind drops, I work until my arms give out. This is what it actually looks like to build a home at the edge of the world.

A few people asked if they could help with materials. So I came up with something simple: contribute anything you want, and I'll write your name on a brick and seal it permanently into the wall. Your name stays there for as long as the house stands β€” decades, maybe a century.
